LAUNCH ANOMALY: China’s private commercial launch vehicle, #Hyperbola1, lifted off from China's Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Thursday morning. Unfortunately, the flight encountered anomalies, resulting in the failure of the test mission. Detailed analysis is underway in order to determine the specific causes of the failure. iSpace’s Hyperbola-1 (双曲线一号遥八, or SQX-1 Y8) launch vehicle was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China on July 10, 2024, at 23:40 UTC (July 11, at 07:40 local time). As per iSpace official statement, “The first three stages of the rocket operated as planned, but the fourth stage malfunctioned, resulting in the mission's failure. A detailed investigation is underway, and the findings will be shared once completed.” The Hyperbola-1 (双曲线一号) is a four-stage small solid launch vehicle created by iSpace (星际荣耀, Beijing Interstellar Glory Space Technology Corporation) with a payload capacity of around 260 kilograms. Hyperbola-1 now has in total 7 launches and 4 failed. #chinaspace #ispace
