State Anthem of the Russian Federation is the name of the national anthem of Russia. It uses the same melody as the “State Anthem of the Soviet Union“. The melody composed in 1939 by Alexander Alexandrov (1883-1946), was chosen as the “State Anthem of the Soviet Union“ by the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin after a contest in 1943. It lasted until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, then replaced by “The Patriotic Song“ in Boris Yeltsin era. “The Patriotic Song“ never had official lyrics and complained that the wordless anthem failed to inspire “great patriotic effort“ and affected Russian athletes morale and performance in world competition. In 2000, president Vladimir Putin changed the national anthem to the “State Anthem of the Soviet Union“, with new lyrics by Sergey Mikhalkov (1913-2009). ★ State Anthem of the Russian Federation | Kalimba Cover With Number & Letter Notations 0:00 Intro 0:08 Number Notati
