Do you want to know the future? Who doesn’t? Given the enormous amount of ambiguity involved in just existing, it makes sense that humans have always wanted a flashlight into the future. My latest AR artwork (which was exhibited in the Adobe Aero AR gallery at Adobe MAX), the All-Seeing Die, explores this desire for divination. It’s a surrealistic/realistic version of a magic 8 ball. You think of a “yes/no” question, roll the all-seeing die (with all the QR codes), and scan the top one to receive your answer in AR. But rather than giving absolute answers, the results are closer to “real” life, meaning full of ambiguity and uncertainty if you dig deeper. So, what do you want to know?
