New video, new line in 4K. We're looking at the Biel - La Chaux-de-Fonds railway today, which was opened to traffic on the 30th of April, 1874. If you watched the La Chaux-de-Fonds - Neuchâtel - Bern video, you may recall a picture of the historic junction in Convers, following the second tunnel after leaving La Chaux-de-Fonds. That is where this line joined said line and where trains had to change direction to reach La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 1888, the direct connection was completed, including the 1618 Meter Crosettes-Tunnel. The original connection, which was kept for military purposes until 1895, was then given up. Thanks to Andrea Lisa (the original Andrea) for recording this line for us.
