Listen to the new album Eye To The Ear here: I made this miniature song in 2018 after a field recording trip to a series of artists’ studios in Deptford, London. I recorded the sounds of a silversmith, a leatherworker, a weaver, a ceramicist and a glass blower at work. I had just finished making my first album, The Much Much How How and I. As a kind of therapeutic process, I began going through the album resampling parts of it, trying to deconstruct or decompose the thing I had just made. The main driving melodic sound is a sample of a wooden stool being moved along the floor and suddenly vibrating at its resonant frequency as one of the artists went to turn off a sandblaster. And the tune ends with the sound of fifteen golf balls bouncing on a wooden floor. My music, shows/tour dates, merch, socials and more can be found here
