Two paintings from Vincent van Gogh's iconic “Sunflowers“ series were vandalized today at London’s National Gallery. Climate activists splattered what appeared to be tomato soup on the paintings, shortly after two other activists were sentenced for a similar attack two years ago. 🖼️ Paintings Protected: Thankfully, both paintings were unharmed due to protective glass coverings, and have since been examined and returned to display. 👮♂️ Arrests Made: The three Just Stop Oil activists involved were arrested. This protest follows their campaign against new oil and gas projects in the UK. ⚖️ Previous Incident: Activists Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland, who attacked Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” in 2022, were sentenced earlier today. Judge Hehir emphasized that committing crimes isn't justified, regardless of one’s beliefs. What are your thoughts on this form of protest? Share below! ⬇️ #VanGogh
