Here's my bike touring setup for cycling from Victoria to Patagonia. I explain why I choose a mountain bike, I give you and overview of my bike setup and equipment and finally we are going through the content of my bags. I originally started in Victoria on September 18th 2022 and made it to Panama City after 9 months and 11,430km on June 23rd 2023. If everything goes well, I'll reach Patagonia in April 2024. I'm documenting my trip and uploading one episode a month along the trip. It's in French but I'm working on adding English subtitles. Here's the first episode of the series Hope you enjoy and learn a few tips to prepare your trip 😊 __ SUPPORT 🫶 If you appreciated this video, consider buying me a coffee 😊 __ GEAR ⚙️ Bike: Devinci Kobain 29r aluminium Wheels: ENVE AM30 carbon Panniers: Arkel Orca 35L Front bag: Brooks Scape compact handlebar 10L Frame bag: Blackburn Elite Frame Bag medium short Rear bag: Aeroe 13L Top tube: Restrap Race Bag / Restrap Racks: Old Man Mountain Racks Divide Cages: Tailfin cargo cage and suspension fork mounts Tent: MSR Hubba Hubba 2 Foldable chair: Helinox Ground Chair Zero Sleeping bag: RAB Mythic 400 Sleeping pad: Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Xtherm R6.9 wide Stove: MSR Dragonfly __ CHAPTERS 📚 00:00 Intro 00:35 Who am I 01:11 Devinci Kobain 02:01 Weight 02:15 Equipment 07:32 Bag 1 Food 09:52 Bag 2 Cooking 11:34 Bag 3 Camping 14:04 Bag 4 Clothes 16:25 Dry bag 13L Tent 18:46 Front bag Electronics 21:17 Conclusion __ WHO AM I? 🙋🏻‍♂️ My name is Dominick and I am from Bromont, Quebec. Passionate about cycling since my youth, I lived in a van full time between 2016 and 2022. In March 2018 I lost my job and I promised myself to start my own business. My experience on film sets and my lifestyle inspired me to found Bonvelo to share the bike destinations I was discovering. In 2 years, the concept went from a simple cellular video, to a web series and finally to a TV series on the Évasion channel of the Quebecor group! That's how my childhood dream of being on TV came true :) Today I am a director, animator and ambassador for some brands including Cycles Devinci, Guru and HLC. After 6 years of vanlife, I felt like taking a new adventure, cycle from Victoria to Patagonia! __ PARTNERS 🤝 Cycles Devinci - Guru Énergie - OTE Canada - Enve Composites - Ride Fox - One Up Components - Oakley - Pittstop Vélo Café This video is presented by @CyclesDevinci and edited by Alexandre Dussault from @PearTreeProductions 💻 __ SOCIAL 📲 ✩ Instagram - ✩ YouTube - #biketouring #bikesetup #bikecheck
