Men of War Modern Mod: Grozny 1994

After the Chechen declaration of independence in 1991 alongside most of Eastern Europe in the fall of the Soviet Union, Russian forces deployed into Chechnya in order to assert their control over the muslim population. Finally in 1994, Russian forces besieged the City of Grozny; the capital of Chechnya. An extremely bloody offensive into the city ensued with street by street fighting and massive casualties on both sides.
