🤝 BRICS ’well placed’ to advance goals of cooperation, peace & development, South Africa’s pundit says The BRICS group is not a military alliance, but “a better place“, when “it comes to bringing about de-escalation, greater cooperation,“ Philani Mthembu, Executive Director of the Institute for Global Dialogue, told Sputnik Africa. “The BRICS countries remain one of those voices for peace, for development, for cooperation, because they also understand that greater stability, greater development, greater cooperation is in their national interest, it’s in the interest of the development of their respective regions, but it’s also in the broader interest of humanity.
