Wooden mini boxes made following the design of the traditional Japanese toolboxes. I made a dozen of them with various natural colored woods, like padauk (red), cherry (orange), obeche (yellow) and walnut on the main body. These style of boxes have a clever locking system of the lid with a wedge tapered on both sides so once locked in place it will hold the lid. They are about 8“ long overall and 6.5“ inside, so they can be used as pen and pencil box too. Finish is danish oil and Renaissance wax.
