A Take Away Show with @busrakayikci - Shot at Studio Zambelli, Palais Garnier - January 2024 Büşra had reached out to us during the lockdown. She lived in Turkey and offered to play piano for our Stay Away Shows. Minimalist yet heady, her music - precise - had left its mark during that one evening through people’s screens. The video got shared, word got around, she signed with a label and reached out again. Would we like to make another film? Of course we would. Just for her, we slipped into a rehearsal room at the Opéra Garnier. She took care of the room’s study piano as if it were her own. She surrounded it with her machines, then strapped the hammers to soften their sound. Büşra was discreet, but carried herself with such confidence and mastery that each take was shrouded in sublime majesty. This music, this musician, in this place, it all seemed timeless.
