It's a sensor and a software that controls the color accuracy, brightness, contrast and gamma curves of your display, and tells you how much it differs from a neutral stand point. This is vital to perform any kind of color grading work, such as video color correction and grading, photo editing, design work, and much more. During this video you'll see that having a display that comes pre calibrated from fabric is a great starting point, but with time the calibration wears off, and you need to recalibrate it to keep the performance, and this tool is all about that.
