Hitstops - is some duration of frames for which the attacking character freezes on hit. Hitbox - is an invisible box-like area that when penetrated, counts as a “hit“. Invulnerability frames - is a certain length of time during which the character does not take damage. Depth - is the up and down distance in which the move can hit the enemy.
