Delighted to present my new video & choreography - solo work to the music of my jazz guru Oscar Peterson and his tune “Broadway“. I created this choreography right after my trip to Senegal & Ecole des Sables, where I studied African dance. I returned from the study deeply inspired by the new movement, approach to dance and sensation of African dance traditions. It felt so natural to bring this movement into my jazz dancing. One week in the dance studio, training every day, searching for the most organic flow ...and this dance that I called Broad Way (which is really not Broadway at all to me, quite the opposite actually). Broad Way = wide way, open vision, open- minded and free spirited way. That's Life, that's jazz the way I see and feel it.
