The Houthis destroy a $30-million US combat drone flying over Yemen after targeting two Western ships in the Gulf of Aden. Confirming the destruction of a MQ-9 drone, the Pentagon said that “attacks are getting more sophisticated.” In the last two days, the Houthis hit two ships which were identified as the “Sea Champion”, a Greek-flagged US-owned carrier and the “Rubymar”, a Belize-flagged UK-owned boat. The Rubymar was seriously damaged, its crew reportedly had to evacuate. In response to the attacks and given the impact on the global economy, the EU said it is starting a “defensive mission” to protect Red Sea shipping from Houthi attacks. But the Houthis said that the operations in the Red and Arabian seas will continue “until the aggression stops and the siege on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted.” Subscribe: Livestream: Facebook: X (Twitter):
