Woodturning burl can be the most satisfying experience. Especially when you're able to turn such a gnarly piece into a beautiful vase with a matching spout and handle! I found this hardwood burl on the beach here in Florida (given the marine worm holes) which was unusual because normally you find either light and airy or soft and spongy pieces of wood- neither very suitable for woodworking. I've been holding onto this piece for a couple years now waiting to do something special with it so here it is! Burled wormwood submerged in a charcoal/bronze epoxy mix with a matching spout and handle! I couldn't be happier with the result. The wood is beyond stunning and the patterns in the epoxy turned out amazing. I hope you enjoy the video and click the subscribe button to see many of my future projects! Disclaimer: After decades of wood working (wood turning, sculpting, building projects) I’ve developed unique techniques when putting certain tools to use. In some cases this is very dangerous and not recommended
