This great martyr is a great example to our lives today, where people dress themselves extravagantly and attempt to change their faces to attract others and to be beautiful. Saint Christopher on the other hand saw his beauty as a cross, a temptation, and trouble to his life. He therefore prayed to become hideous, and his face was disfigured. He rejoicing at this, was then able to serve Christ with greater fervor. And later, died for his Lord gladly. The life of Saint is read from volume 4 of the lives of saints from holy dormition sisterhood Forgive me the troparion and kontakion are chanted at the end to the best of my ability. Glory be to Jesus Christ our God for all things.
