In this video, we'll explore the story of a little-known luthier named O.W. Appleton who claimed that in 1943 he brought a solid body, single cutaway, electric Spanish-style guitar he had made to show Gibson Guitars - almost 10 YEARS before they would put the Les Paul model into production!
