🔁Reposted from 👤Margarita Demidova A studio apartment of 20 square meters in a former apartment house, decorated in the Russian Decadence style. The main aim of the project is to capture the atmosphere of St. Petersburg during the Silver Age. The area of the apartment is only 20 square meters. To make it appear larger, a method of color zoning was used. The palette is based on a combination of shades of precious stones: sapphire in the living room and kitchen, emerald in the bathroom, and pearl in the bedroom. To expand the space, mirrors were placed in the closet doors and above the bed. All the furniture in the photos is antique. Almost every item in the interior has its own historical value and legend. Chairs by Jacob and Josef Kohn, early 20th century. An oak cabinet with mirrors, manufactured by L'Ideal in France in 1897, and a pre-revolutionary round table made of mahogany. An étagère from the 1930s, a brass item from the late 19th century, and a wall clock from the “Orel Watch Factory“. Bed, “Factory of Metal Products B. Aronovich“, 1893. Mirror from a Government Carriage of the NKVD, 1930. Closet, mid-twentieth century. The project was nominated for the prestigious international Golden Trezzini Award, which is awarded annually to the authors of the most artistically valuable projects in the fields of architecture, design, restoration, scenography, and museum work. The works of the prize winners, selected by more than 200 experts from 32 countries, enter the museum's collection and are displayed at the annual exhibition “Architecture as Art“.
