Anthony Albanese’s plan to import 860 Palestinians into Australia on temporary visas has raised many questions at a time the west is plagued by protesters sympathetic to the Hamas cause, says Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton. Mr Houghton said when asked about this decision, the Prime Minister refused to provide any key details and instead became agitated. “Albanese tried to pass it off to reporters as being standard processes but nothing about these decision is standard. It is quite unique and some argue, highly irresponsible. “And reporters at the press conference kept going. They asked our prime minister how he could ensure Australian values would be adhered to.” Mr Houghton said it’s a fair question but some in the media thought the question was ridiculous, labelling it racist. “But what all these journalists and left pundits fail to recognise is all visa holders have to sign what is called an Australian Values Statement – it says you must have respect for freedom, religion and democracy. “Imagine looking at those words and thinking they are racist. Some in our media are simply hateful of our country and culture – we need to call that out.“
