Monday’s earthquake became the latest major tremor to rock southern Turkey as the region rebuilds from earlier massive quakes across southern Turkey and northwest Syria. The earthquake was felt in Malatya as well as in surrounding provinces such as Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep. Local authorities said the quake was also felt by people living in temporary camps after being displaced by the earlier quakes. Local officials told a news conference that search and rescue teams had been deployed to five buildings. The United Nations has said at least 1.5 million people have been made homeless in southern Turkey, with more than 500,000 homes needing to be rebuilt. After the latest tremor, local government telling people not to enter or even stand near damaged buildings in the earthquake zone. Nearly 10,000 aftershocks have been reported si
