These units are equipped with Mi-28N attack helicopters and have been strategically positioned in various regions to combat low-cost Ukrainian drones. Military sources reveal that the helicopter crews are undergoing intensive training to proficiently intercept drones in diverse weather conditions, regardless of whether it's day or night. Moreover, to effectively address the increasing menace of unmanned aerial vehicles, the Russian military plans to deploy attack helicopters armed with a 30mm 2A42 Shipunov autocannon, which was originally designed for Russian armored vehicles.
