Keira Knightley Talks About Playing Anti-Heroine Anna Karenina

Keira Knightley stars in this Fall's Anna Karenina, director Joe Wright's adaptation of the famous novel, and I sat down with Knightley recently to talk about playing one of literature's most famous characters. Knightley talked about how tricky it was to play a character who's not completely sympathetic and how playing another fictional character — Elizabeth Bennet — was far more daunting than playing Anna.
