Ladybugs are a symbol of luck. Kalim found a ladybug, made it bigger with a spell and secretly placed it in Jamil's bedroom. Because he believes: The bigger it is, the more luck it brings. I'm pretty sure he knows that Jamil hates bugs, but maybe hopes that he might like it anyways, since it looks cute. But Kalim should never underestimate Jamil's fear for bugs.
