Dating agency in London. M/S of middle aged woman sitting down reading a magazine in waiting room. Woman walks out through door and introduces herself. M/S two women talking over table. Middle aged woman is a form to fill in. C/U of woman filling in form with fountain pen. After finishing she gets up and shakes hands with interviewer and leaves. Several shots of woman interviewing middle aged man. The man also fills out form. The interviewer searches through card index to find a suitable partner for the man. The card she pulls out happens to be of the woman that appeared earlier. She writes details down on piece of paper and puts it in envelope. M/S of the man sitting on park bench waiting for date. He looks nervous as he lights a cigarette with the but of another. He drops the butt to the ground, their are several other butts visible. The man watches middle aged woman walking by. The man pauses for a moment wondering whether this is his date. He finally plucks up the courage and introduces himself. L/
