Found this after being tucked away for years. I have two more of their videos which I'll upload soon. I loved this band and thought they should have gone on to bigger things. I first saw them supporting someone else who's name escapes me. After that I saw them loads of time thoughout London. Converted to mpg by me from an original Promo VHS cassete so please excuse the odd wobble or crackle on the picture and sound. Unlikely to have been shown much on the TV so pretty rare stuff. Some more info and a discography can be found here: The History of Speedy as I know it: Speedy were Philip, Bronwen, Moony, Paul and Richard (Richard had replaced Tracey in Blammo! sometime before Spongyworld). Signed to Arista, they released a limited edition 7“ Sporting Life which charted nationally and hit #2 on the indie charts with constant rotation on Radio 1. Tremendous television exposure followed, including an appearance on Football Focus. An album was recorded for Arista but, alas, Speedy and Arista parted company before its release. Speedy continued to be a spectacular live attraction but ceased to exist in 1998 or thereabouts.
