EMG 81 with different guitars

I was wondering how much difference there is between the EMG 81 pickup in different guitars. The sound remains fairly similar. Don’t forget, the guitar strings are not ’new’ every take I record is different anyway. Something else to keep in mind, the Peavey V-type guitar has two 9 volt batteries in series (so it’s running on 18 volt). I noticed the gain was the biggest difference, so for the first high gain test, I handmatched the gain, so it’s not a perfect comparison anyway. First guitar is a Jackson K
