Fading to Zero is the story of Ken Siegelman, Brooklyn’s late poet laureate, and his use of poetry as a sword to foster critical thinking in his students. It is the story of one man’s rise from hell to create and do great things and his subsequent descent back into a hell of his own making. Directed by the late Silvana Gallardo, herself a wonderful talent, and her use of her many Hollywood friends who contributed to the reading of Ken’s poetry, this film stands alone in the world of storytelling, bridging imagery and sounds to create a new art form.
