I must thank SiriusXM's '90s on 9 for bringing Patty Smyth and Don Henley's “Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough“ back into my life. When I was in my mid-teens this song fascinated me because it was about love, when love is all that's left. To this day it's one of my favorite sappy/sad love songs, pretty much tied with Meatloaf's “Two Out of Three Ain't Bad.“ Maybe as a southerner I'm just fascinated by songs that use the word “ain't“ in the title?
