The epicenter was at a depth of 8 kilometers, 7 kilometers from the city of Puan. The earthquake was felt in many parts of the country, including most of Seoul. Later, 15 aftershocks were recorded, the strongest of them with a magnitude of 3.1. On social networks, eyewitnesses share footage of the natural disaster. Furniture shook in the houses and objects fell from shelves. Some residents fled their homes and offices. Minor damage to houses was reported in Puan and Iksan.
