On May 19, 2024 truckers stopped driving on the Odessa to Kiev highway in protest of the Mobilization law that took effect on May 18 and other draconian edicts of the Zelensky regime. There are reports that truckers in other parts of Ukraine joined the strike. They are allowing personel vehicles and emergency vehicles to travel the highway. Vladimir Zelensky’s term as president ends on May 20. As of May 21 Ukraine will no longer have an elected president. There is no Ukrainian constitutional authority for Zelensky to take any action as president after May 20. A president of Ukraine cannot unilaterally extend his presidency by declaring Martial Law.
