Plot: Scar is out for revenge and takes his chance once Simba steps down and Kovu is new king of the Pridelands. Detailed Explanation/Plot: ( READ TO UNDERSTAND PART 2 ) - Simba and Nala have stepped down as king and queen. Leaving the duties to their daughter Kiara and Kovu. - Kovu while excited in his new position feels blown away by all the responsibilities. And decides to sleep outside that night to clear his head and have time to himself. Kiara wishes him a good nights rest as she enters the cave. - ( First Dream ) Scar sees an opportunity from the after life and begins haunting Kovu's dream. He angrily yells at Kovu for betraying Zira and him for Kiara and Simba. Kovu and Scar argue but Scar has the upper hand and when he sees Kovu's spirit weakening. Scar leaps forward and corrupts his thoughts/personality. ( That's why you see the face of Scar/Kovu ) - Before anything else can happen Kiara ( yes I know it's Nala ) wakes him up and says he was just having a nightmare. She brushes against him comfortingly and he decides to tell her about it later that evening. Telling her about his dark intention before and his feelings for her. She asks what's wrong and he tells her it's Scar. She comforts him again and they head back to pride rock. - ( Second Dream ) Scar is extremely mad. He smacks Kovu in the face and threatens to kill Kiara if he doesn't do his bidding. But Kovu has enough and runs away. With Kovu's spirit very weak Scar takes control of his mind/personality ( off screen possess Kovu ) - Then we get a brief shot of Kiara dreaming / ( Kiara's Dream ) She is having a nightmare about Kovu killing her. But thankfully it's just a dream. Briefly does she wake up only to see possessed Kovu staring down at her menacingly. She just thinks it her dream though and falls back to sleep. - P. Kovu is tempted to end Kiara's life there. However he remembers he only has a limited amount of power over Kovu's body left. So he quickly runs off and sets the plains on fire. Afterwards he hunts down Simba who is resting out in the fields on a rock. Simba is surprised to see Kovu attacking him. So when P. Kovu goes tumbling over the rocks he looks over in shock. But Kovu is quick to react and jumps through the flames and attacks Simba. Then a fight ensues. Near the end of the fight Simba quickly withdraws and is quickly being cornered. Horrified at the shocking resemblance between Kovu and his uncle Scar. Caught off guard he slips off the edge of the rock and clutches on for dear life. - ( off screen ) Kiara ( whom is also pregnant ) wakes up in the middle of the night feeling many cramps. She then goes into labor and gives birth to a baby lioness. The lionesses rejoice in the cave but not for long when smoke filters through. Kiara curious and both concerned for Kovu rushes to see what's going on. But she gets herself into a situation when she's trapped within the flames. She runs through them looking for an exit when she sees Kovu hanging Simba off the ledge. - Kovu finally lets go and Simba plummets to his death. Kiara gasps and runs up to pride rock to see who had killed Simba. Horrified, Kiara sees that it was Kovu. She starts yelling at him but enraged Kovu attacks Kiara and from the loss of blood, birth of her cub, smoke inhalation and blunt force of the attack. She dies quickly after. Kovu finally snaps back to his old self but surprsingly feels no remorse. Scar had truly left a mark on him. The pridelands continue to burn themselves out as Kovu watches over the aftermath.
