Lovely it is to live, brothers) is a Cossack song written in early 1920's telling a story of a soldier fighting in the battle over Terek river. It portrays the feelings of a simple brave Cossack who honors his leader and thinks of his wife in the very moment of death. He wish he could see his village, the sun and his beautiful and loyal horse once more, even despite the fact that his wife will marry his friend and forget his sacrifice.
