Safety - First And Last! (1939)

Several shots show careless driving, with cars overtaking two at a time, another cutting in before the car in front just before one passes from the opposite direction, another tries to overtake just before a bend in the road. A car pulls out from the kerb without looking to see what is coming, then does the manoeuvre the correct way. Another car jumps a red light. Two cyclists try to overtake a van on the inside and are almost squashed in the process. Four cyclists (2 girls and 2 boys) take up the whole of a country road by cycling side by side; they ride in pairs when a car tries to pass. Pedestrians walking three abreast along a country road are nearly mowed down by a car zooming around a corner from behind. They a safer way to do it by keeping close to the verge and facing oncoming traffic. A pedestrian walks into the road next to a parked van and is almost knocked down by a car. The same
