The interpretation of water through rocks and plants, the art known as Karesansui. Records of Karesansui are believed to have started as early as the Asuka Period, over 1,400 years ago. Karesansui, also known as “Japanese rock gardens“, play an important role in Japanese culture through the Buddhist religion.
