South Africa and Lesotho received their first coats of show early this morning - and as the month ends, a new season begins. Winter has finally arrived. This morning, Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho welcomed its first major snowfall for the winter season. The snow started at 2am this morning and continued for a few hours covering the landscape around the resort with approximately 10cm of snow. This comes after good news received earlier this week, that the Lesotho borders are open for leisure and business travel. Roads in the area are currently closed for 2x4 vehicles and guests are asked to check the resort’s social media platforms and website for road conditions before travelling. In KwaZulu-Natal, locations such as Highmoor, Champagne Castle, and the peaks of the Drakensberg Mountain Range will encounter brief flurries of snow. Parts of the Eastern Cape may also wake up to a light covering of snow on Saturday morning. No other locations or provinces in SA will experience snowfall this weekend. #Af
