WEEKLY BLUES RHYTHM 77 & 80 WBR 77: One of the most popular ways to play a shuffle that consists of playing double-stops instead of chords. I play them using the palm-muting technique. I also play some licks within the chord changes and during the turn-around (the last two bars of the progression). WBR 80: Another super-popular way to play a shuffle in the key of E using power chords. The progression starts with an intro lick that uses notes from the open position of the Blues scale. The same lick is played at the end of the progression on the turnaround section (the last 2 bars).
