Men lower a metal pole and then wind a lever which moves the machine along to surround the pole. C/U of the pole passing through the machine. “The steel bar to be tested in this hydraulic monster is 5 inches in diameter.“ Various shots of the machine in operation. “A remorseless pull of nearly 600 tons pulled the steel in two - !“ C/U of a gauge used to show the pull factor.
