In a new cover interview for the Love Issue, the “On My Way“ singer spoke to PEOPLE about the role the soundtrack — which she curated — played in the movie. “I always wanted to do music with movies,“ she says. “I love musicals and I've never really had the chance to do one since Selena. And even then it wasn't my voice,“ she said, referring to her 1997 hit Selena, in which she plays the late music icon Selena Quintanilla-Pérez.
