The silicone mold making technique shown in this video can be used for making prop knifes, historical replicas, and more. We demonstrate using Mold Star 30 silicone, a platinum silicone for mold making. The finished knife replica is cast in TASK 8 liquid plastic resin. TASK 8 is a strong casting resin which can be easily painted. The final section of this tutorial shows techniques for painting the completed replica.
