It is more than an orchestra, it is a fellowship. It does not matter who you are, where you come from. In fact it does not matter where you will continue on your way. It does not matter how old you are, if you are working as an unskilled worker or a top manager. It does not matter if your instrument is worth a cheap meal or a new car. There are no status symbols, only genuine symbols, just as many as we are. Even if we are many, we are not just a loud crowd. We are not alike, but we are not different either. We all need to be there, to be someone together and you are exactly that person we can not miss. The title track of his 1983 album of the same name, it was first released as the album's lead single on 24 October 1983. It charted outside the UK Top 40, but a re-issue of the single in 1985 reached No. 6. In the US, it peaked at No. 46. The song was named the 79th best hard rock song of all time by VH1 based on a public voting in 2009, although the song did not show up in a revised list from 2013. At a televised performance of VH1 Storytellers, Idol said that he had attended an event where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones were taking swigs from a bottle of โRebel Yellโ bourbon whiskey. He was not familiar with the brand, but he liked the name and decided to write the song. The song was co-written by guitarist Steve Stevens. The instrumental introduction, which sounds like a combination of electric guitar and electronic keyboard, is performed by Stevens on guitar alone, who intended it to sound this way. Stevens states that he was inspired by acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke's style. In 1984, music magazine Cash Box wrote that the song โcombines the tough swagger and high-powered drive of 'White Wedding' with the decadent dance focus of 'Dancing With Myself.'โ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐น๐น ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ถ๐ผ ๐ฎ๐น๐ฏ๐๐บ ๐ญ๐ต๐ด๐ฏ โRebel Yellโ โDaytime Dramaโ โEyes Without a Faceโ โBlue Highwayโ โFlesh for Fantasyโ โCatch My Fallโ โCrank Callโ โ(Do Not) Stand in the Shadowsโ โThe Dead Next Doorโ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐น๐น ๐น๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ Last night a little dancer, she came dancing to my door Last night, that little angel, she came pumping on my floor She said, โCome on, baby, you got a license for love And if it expires, I pray help from aboveโ Because In the midnight hour she cried more, more, more, more With a rebel yell she cried more, more, more In the midnight hour, babe, more, more, more With a rebel yell more, more, more More, more, more! She don't like slavery, she won't sit and beg But when I'm tired and lonely, yeah, she gives me head I said, โWhat set you free and brought you to me, babe?โ โWhat set you free? I need you here by meโ Because In the midnight hour she cried more, more, more With a rebel yell more, more, more, yow! In the midnight hour, babe, more, more, more With a rebel yell More I live in my own heaven I collect it to go at the 7-11 Yes, I'm out all night to collect a fare Just so long, just so long as it don't fuck up my hair I walked the ward for you, babe A thousand miles for you Now who dried my tears of pain, babe? A million times for you, for you I'd sell my soul for you, babe What's money to burn for you, for you I'd give you all, and have none, babe Justa, justa have you here by me Because In the midnight hour she cried more, more, more With a rebel yell she cried more, more, more, yow!
