Genre: Social melodrama Running time: 80 minutes The feature film “FLIGHT. Three days after disaster” is a new Russian social drama with melodramatic elements. This is a film about love and fortitude defeating evil and hatred. Sasha is a soldier of compulsory military service, who is facing a very difficult life choice. The hero’s family have died in a plane crash. He comes to his hometown to revenge on the miraculously survived pilot who is to blame for the air disaster that has taken 82 lives, including Sasha’s family. But love interferes with his dreadful plans and alters his heart. And yet the challenges are just to begin. The film is based on a true story universally known as the case of Vitaly Kaloyev, who avenged the deaths of his family on the Swiss air traffic controller. But the “FLIGHT” film does not have such a dramatic ending because the hero chooses life after all… Prospects “FLIGHT. Three days after disaster” is the third film of screenwriter and director Arseny Gonchukov and is to be released in the spring of 2013. We are convinced that the picture is going to be a non-trivial event in Russian cinema. The chosen subject — a number of horrific air disasters that have taken place in Russia during recent years and hundreds of human tragedies of family members and close ones of the victims — has never been brought up in the national cinematography before. Production country: Russia In cinemas: 2013 Cooperation Today Russian cinema is at a stalemate. The problem is not only in the fact that Hollywood studios got a grip on Russian cinemas and Russian producers are moving abroad because they don’t want to work in the national cinematography. One gets the impression that even the state of Russia is heading for total destruction of the national cinema by financing the films that undermine the principles and culture of the society. However, we still hope that talented pictures will not be left without attention and support. We create films that speak about what’s really important for you and us, living here and now. We want such motion picture to survive and live a full life, this is why we are addressing to you. The film “FLIGHT. Three days after disaster” at the moment is at one of the most expensive stages – post production, which includes editing, re-recording, color grading, creation of a DCP copy (a digital film copy for cinemas). To complete the work on the film we need around 200 000 rubles in total. Any sums are important to us and we are open to any kinds of cooperation offers. We invite for cooperation and mutually beneficial work on the film those who care for cinematography and its future and who want to be a part of this future.
