It has been a while since I made a RWBY weapon animation and I wanted to get back on track. But I also wanted to see how much my skills have improve since I started making them. So I decided to remake one of my favorite weapons and gave it a little bit of a worn out look to it. A bit of more battle damage that the beginning of season 4. I really liked how it came out :D On a side note, I was originally only going to do the transformation, but then I looked at all I ended up doing for the original video that put up 5 years ago (so long ago) and I need to at least have it shoot a bit. But then while adding that part of the animation, I also ended up upgrading the texture so it had some battle damage. I also learning how to do flashes and smoke in After Effect cause I didn't like how any of the flashes and blast in Maya, like I did before, looked. In short due to that, and a bit of laziness, I added a whole extra week of work. But at the end of the day it was worth it and I had fun. here is the original one:
