A Serbian judoka was disqualified for five months for crossing himself before a fight at the Paris Olympics Nemanja Majdov was competing in the 90kg weight category. He announced his suspension on social media. “I was banned from all tournaments, camps and preparations. In the letter of disciplinary action, I did not want to apologise for crossing myself, and of course I will not, even though I did not know what the punishment could be,“ the athlete wrote and thanked God for everything he gave him.
