I was living in Stoke Newington and received a message to whatever socials was rocking at the time, maybe myspace or it could of been FB, from an artist called Monster Under the Bed. He made mention of Lee Scott and Salar (Anti Heroes), who’s work I’d been put onto by 360 some years before and said he was in a crew with them. Monster, who later changed his moniker to Milkavelli, arranged to link shortly after the contact. I recall going to a place in a beautiful area of London, up on the hill, near to Camden, and building with the fella, spliffs and skills, which he had plenty of. We built and hung out a bit more, writing and smoking sessions. I even got an invite to an Arsenal game with dude ‘cos of my Gooner affiliation. We linked a bit. Time went on and I got to meet a few of their team. Lee, Salar, Reklews and other crew members. At some point, the obligatory discussion about making some music was had and we decided to put some work in. Lee Scott, Salar and Reklews came to London from Liverpool and we got busy. We made two songs, the one to this video ‘Just Drink’ and another ‘Sucker Free Zone’, this one minus Salar. In discussion not long after I advised Milkavelli that it would be good to actualise the work into physicals and mentioned putting the songs to a 7” or other format. I let him know I had connects that could make it work for him and I linked him with Adam Kane @ Shogun Distribution. I managed some of the logistics whilst Milkavelli and the Blah crew of creatives did their bit, mixing, artwork etc. Limited to 500 numbered copies. They went super quick. #shh_klips
