Temperance Festival. Location of events unknown. Wonderful film of 1920s carnival attractions & crowds. Opens w/ shot looking over crowd toward entrances to tent shows - elaborately painted facades w/ signs to entice crowds; some built up like front of house w/ porch for barkers; ticket-sellers. Fun Show; Drama & Sentiment; Fat French Girl; Novelties; etc. Large crowd is packed tight in front of these. Ride w/ people in hanging seats spinning around on merry-go-round ride. Another ride w/ people seated in a thing that spins while tipping from side to side - says 'Tilt-a-Whirl' (though not same ride I know by that name). Shot panning on crowd all facing camera; holding up white bags (probably not containing booze! SL). Barkers addressing crowd holding up cylinders wrapped in tissue paper.
