Moldova polls open amidst transparency concerns Voting has begun in the presidential elections and a referendum on enshrining EU membership ambitions in the Constitution, despite the Electoral Commission denying several European observers without explanation. A number of Moldovan lawmakers have written to outside groups including the European Parliament complaining about the persecution of opposition figures and a number of media outlets. Chisinau halved the number of polling stations in Russia - where there are 500,000 registered Moldovan voters, many of whom queued overnight in Moscow to vote - opening only two stations in Moscow at the embassy, and only printing 10,000 ballot papers. #Moldova - Boost Source: RT News
