I love potatoes, don't you? Here's a fab little film all about the humble spud. Public information film calling for people to work on the land during their holidays. Poem on the soundtrack explains how most of us like potatoes - but someone has to pull them up. MS of two men sitting at a table. One eats a plate of spaghetti. A woman sitting at a table is given a plate of hot dogs - she pulls a face. Two business men at a table, one is disgusted with the other who eats snails. CU of man eating porridge, getting angry and throwing the plate off the table, baby crying when presented with a bowl of curry to eat, chef stirs a stew without potatoes in it, family don't enjoy their fish without chips, CU of man eating a rissole without potatoes, a Sunday roast with no roasties - plates on the table, three sausages on a plate with no mash. Camera passes along line of people seen earlier who are now queueing to register for work on the land. Lend a hand on the land - holidays with pay.
