I found this baby raccoon just wandering and stumbling around behind me while I was fishing in a neighborhood lake. (Mallard Lake near Russet Woods of Hoover, AL) He/she was obviously orphaned, since he/she was wandering about in the daylight. For whatever reason he was covered with flies and maggots, so I was afraid he was injured and/or was dying.... fortunately they were easily washed off and we were able to give him/her over to wildlife rehab people in Birmingham, so he/she will be just fine and have
