Infanta Sofía of Spain has arrived at UWC Atlantic College, situated in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The school has earned the moniker 'Hippie Hogwarts' due to its innovative approach to education and its stunning castle backdrop. The college caters to students aged 16 to 19 from around the globe, representing 150 different countries, who both live and study together on its premises. Perched within 122 acres of woodlands and farmlands, complete with its own valley and seafront, the college finds its home within the 12th century St Donat’s Castle in southern Wales. The institution, with a cost of £67,000 per year, was established by German educationalist Kurt Hahn. It offers an array of courses encompassing disciplines like Tai Chi, theory of knowledge, and Tibetan literature. Infanta Sofía embarked on her educational journey from her residence at the 'Prince Pavilion' near Zarzuela Palace. Captured in images released by the Spanish Royal Household, she could be seen with a cheerful demeanor as she wheeled her sage-colored suitcase to the awaiting car. Her parents, Queen Letizia (50) and Felipe VI of Spain (55), observed the departure. Sofía's attire was laid-back, featuring a black and white plaid shirt, white sneakers, khaki trousers, and a cropped black top. Seated on the car's boot, she was photographed alongside her beaming parents. Queen Letizia, clad in a blue blazer paired with white trousers and an ivory top, opted for sporty trainers. Meanwhile, King Felipe appeared sharp in a striped blazer, blue shirt, navy trousers, and trainers. The family radiated joy, with Sofía engaging with a black pet and offering it a chew toy. However, the Spanish royal household's ambiance might now experience a quieter tone. Sofía is following in the footsteps of her elder sister, Princess Leonor, by enrolling at the Welsh institution. Princess Leonor recently achieved her International Baccalaureate from UWC Atlantic College in May.
